Each FRC site is equipped to meet the specific needs of its surrounding community. In San Antonio, Cal Farley’s professionals are working with many military families that are struggling with reintegration as loved ones return from years in combat environments overseas. We’re also working with the city’s large Hispanic population to help children find the resources they need to succeed in school.

Cal Farley’s FRCs also provide coaching, mentoring and family support, such as our parenting academies and youth responsibility academies. Through guided interaction at these events, family members who are struggling with one another find that through common discussion, preparation, activities and reflection comes a better understanding of one another.

Each quarter, our San Antonio FRC also hosts a family workshop, where Cal Farley’s provides valuable training in parenting skills, school and budgeting issues, family fellowship and other needs unique to the San Antonio area. Cal Farley’s FRC provides grass-roots social services to families in crisis and provides a place for parents and extended family members to connect to others who also are struggling to restore the joy in their home lives.
