We have openings for dedicated, energetic, married couples (as defined by Texas statutes) for our childcare teams!  We are a non-profit organization providing home-like settings for youth.  House Parent couples serve as role-models and have all of the responsibilities of a parent in helping to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the youth in their care.

·         Legally married two or more years.

·         Up to two school age dependent children welcomed!

Starting salary is $58,422 per couple.  Work 6 days, off 3 days! Respite program. Private apartment within our attractive residential homes located in rural West Texas settings, utilities paid, extensive training and outstanding support.  Great medical insurance, 401(k) w/company match, and many other benefits!

Assists in all horticulture activities assigned, to include landscaping, lawn and plant care, pest control and related functions.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1.    A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.

2.    Proficiency in general horticulture equipment operation is required.

3.    Must possess exceptional time management and detail-oriented skills.

4.    Must be at least 21 years of age.

5.    Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license.

6.    Must be available for travel as needed.

YOUTH CARE SPECIALISTUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).

Provides support and supervision for assigned residents in order to assist child care teams in meeting resident’s needs. Responsible for working as a team in the provision of direct daily care to the residents of Boys Ranch, and to provide for the health, safety and well-being of each child in care.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
1. A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
2. Two years’ experience in childcare is required.
3. Computer knowledge is preferred.
4. Must be at least 21 years of age.
5. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license. (At least one must possess or be able to obtain a commercial driver’s license.)
6. Must be available for travel as needed.
7. Proficiency in general office equipment operation is required.
8. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.

Provides support for various Home Life and campus activities, to include the provision of supervision for residents in homes, medical clinic, Activities Center, vocational education programs and other areas.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required. Childcare experience is preferred. Computer proficiency is preferred. Proficiency in general office equipment operation is required. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license. Must be available for travel as needed. Must be able to work 2 pm to 10 pm.

ADVENTURE SPECIALIST IUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
Assists in the planning and implementation of an adventure activity program for residents of Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch. Provides a motivational learning environment that enhances life skills development of the residents utilizing experiential, adventure-based and equine assisted growth and living education programs. Assists in the operation & supervision of the Adventure Program, to include all adventure activities, equipment, and supplies.
 
Minimum requirements:

1.    A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.

2.    Degree in recreation, physical education preferred.

3.    Experience in direct childcare activities or adventure activities are preferred.

4.    Lifeguard certification preferred.

5.    Wilderness First Aid certification preferred.

6.    Basic competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required.

7.    Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.

8.    Must be at least 21 years of age.

9.    Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license.

10. Must be available for travel as needed.

11. Proficiency in general adventure equipment is required.

MOTOR VEHICLE SPECIALISTUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
Responsible for the operation of passenger carrying vehicles, school buses and other motor vehicles as needed. Responsible for cleaning vehicles, the provision of training for residents and related activities as needed. Responsible for School Bus Driver Certification Training.  Provides school bus operation for the organization and school related activities and transportation assistance for residents as needed.
 
 JOB SPECIFICATIONS

2. Must have a Texas CDL with passenger endorsement and school bus certification.
3. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
4. Must be at least 21 years of age.
5. Must be available for travel as needed.
6. Must be available for flexible working schedule as needed.

Assists in the facilities, roads and grounds maintenance as assigned. Assists in cement mixing & general maintenance activities as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma or GED is required. Must be 21 years of age. Minimum of 1 year general maintenance experience is required. Minimum of 2 years heavy equipment operation experience required. Must possess exceptional time management & detail orientation skills. Must possess a valid Texas driver's license. Must be available for travel as needed.

INTERVENTION SPECIALIST 1Use SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).

Provides support and supervision for assigned residents in order to assist child care teams in meeting resident’s needs. Provides individual and group interventions including experiential, adventure based, cognitive, Life Space Crisis Intervention and other trained interventions to assigned residents. Establish and maintain credibility with house parents and residents’ child care team.  Also, assist with training and mentorship of direct care staff.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED required. Must be at least 21 years of age. A minimum of 5 years experience in a residential youth or childcare environment is required. Residential treament and/or psychiatric hospital experince is preferred. A college degree can substitute for 2 years experience. Computer proficiency is preferred. Must be able to obtain CDL license within 1 year of employment.
