Each FRC site is equipped to meet the specific needs of its surrounding community. In Austin, one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities, our caring professionals help underachieving children develop social skills and a stronger sense of cooperation. They provide parenting academies and youth responsibility academies for numerous families. Through guided interaction at these events, family members who are struggling with one another find that through common discussion, preparation, activities and reflection comes a better understanding.
Each quarter, our Austin FRC hosts a family workshop, where Cal Farley’s caseworkers provide valuable training in parenting skills, school and budgeting issues, family fellowship and other needs unique to the Austin community. The Austin FRC provides grass-roots social work services to families in crisis and provides a place for parents and extended family members to connect to others who also are struggling to find a new way to achieve peace and joy in their families.
