Cal Farley’s Family Resource Centers are staffed with professional, highly trained caseworkers who work with children and families in their communities.
Each FRC site is equipped to meet the specific needs of its surrounding community. Its staff helps children and youth establish healthy boundaries and responsibility by teaching them to develop positive habits with aspects of daily life such as homework, respect for self and others, home chores and personal responsibility.
Cal Farley’s Neighborhood Navigators act as facilitators, partnering with Amarillo Independent School District, Amarillo College and others to connect families in need with individuals, nonprofit organizations or faith-based groups that are able to meet a specific need, such as rent or food assistance, clothing or help with utility bills.
Another important facet of Cal Farley’s role in the Amarillo area is the No Limits, No Excuses campaign. This partnership is comprised of 21 institutions, agencies and businesses that encourage teens in low-income families to pursue education after high school in order to attain vocational success and a brighter future.
