HOUSE PARENT COUPLES

We occasionally have openings for dedicated, energetic, married couples (as defined by Texas statutes) for our childcare teams! We are a non-profit organization providing home-like settings for youth. House Parent couples serve as role-models and have all of the responsibilities of a parent in helping to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the youth in their care.

· Legally married two or more years.

· Up to two school age dependent children welcomed!

Starting salary is $58,422 per couple. Work 6 days, off 3 days! Respite program. ADVENTURE SPECIALIST

Assists in the planning and implementation of an adventure activity program for residents of Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch. Provides a motivational learning environment that enhances life skills development of the residents utilizing experiential, adventure-based and equine assisted growth and living education programs. Assists in the operation & supervision of the Adventure Program, to include all adventure activities, equipment, and supplies.

Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license. A high school diploma or GED equivalency. Must be available for travel as needed.

Proficiency in general adventure equipment.

Basic competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.).

Degree in recreation, physical education preferred.

Experience in direct childcare activities or adventure activities preferred.

Lifeguard certification preferred.

Wilderness First Aid certification preferred.

Activity Center Specialist

Assists in the operation and supervision of the Dippel Activity Center, to include all recreation programs and events, daily and weekly cleaning, and assistance with Roughrider Grill operations.

Requirements:

A minimum of 6 months experience in youth recreation activities required. Proficiency in general recreational equipment required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license. A high school diploma or GED equivalency required.

Experience in food operations preferred.

Experience in custodial operations preferred.

CHILDCARE SPECIALIST, ISU

Provides support and supervision for assigned residents in order to assist child care teams in meeting resident’s needs. Provides individual and group interventions including experiential, adventure based, cognitive, Life Space Crisis Intervention and other trained interventions to assigned residents.

Requirements:

A minimum of 1 year experience in a residential youth or childcare environment is required or 6 months within the Cal Farley organization. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license. A high school diploma or GED equivalency required.

Residential treatment and/or psychiatric hospital experience is preferred.

DINING FACILITY ATTENDANTS

Assists in dining room operations, to include cleaning, preparing and serving food, equipment operation and related activities.

Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license. A high school diploma or GED equivalency.

Experience in quantity Food Service operations is preferred.
