Education

The educational needs of our girls are met by the Whiteface Consolidated Independent School District. Many of our girls attend the public school in nearby Whiteface where they participate in academic, athletic and extra-curricular activities. Through the years our girls have found success in the classroom, and as members of various athletic teams, cheerleading squads, one-act play competitions, band and choir.

For the girls in our care who require a more structured educational environment, the school system has partnered with Girlstown to provide educational opportunities through an on-campus school. Girlstown provides the classrooms and Whiteface provides the teachers and administrators. The girls earn educational credits through computer-assisted learning modules supported by one-on-one learning opportunities with teachers. The partnership has worked beautifully for several years and continues to offer a strong educational alternative.
