Challenge Course
A central part of the adventure programming at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch is the Challenge Course, a structure built to engage our children and staff in adventure-type activities that are also safe.
In an educational or psychological sense, the Challenge Course provides a prop to involve small groups of participants in a series of activities which increase in difficulty and focus on the participants’ physical, emotional, social and intellectual capabilities.
On our campus, the Challenge Course is used primarily for therapeutic purposes. Click here for more …
“Adventure programming is a powerful way to provide experiences where kids must take responsibility for their actions, learn to problem-solve and connect consequences to actions.” -- Mark Strother, Cal Farley’s Residential Care
